So, I said this on twitter before, but I’m going to say this here: I’ve been blogging for years now.

What I didn’t say is that I am a book blogger: I blogged for 5 years, but right now my blog is on a hiatus because I’m working with the marketing team of a publisher house.

The thing is, IRL, I work for a politic (ugh! Yeah, I know), so I kinda know stuff about promotions and strategies and so on.

Like I said, we’re going to open many windows, and this is in fact, a very legal way to gain, well... LEGAL streams used by many western fandoms and publicists. Also, put on some earphones because it’s gonna sound messy.

PART 2: Promoting Taehyung

 INSTAGRAM

A great way to promote new artists/music is using the most used Instagram hashtags.

I said this on twitter, but it’s actually very true.

We don’t need to promote Tae with Kpop stans or ARMY because they obviously know and like/don’t like him. The goal should be always the non-fans or GP.

I have a small IG account for Tae (+100 followers) I don’t interact, I don’t follow almost anyone, I post once a day and some days I can’t even post, but guess what? Some big accounts follow me, when I use the hashtags I’ll show you here, 80% of my likes are from “locals” and a few from ARMYs that find my pictures because I still tag #Taehyung.

With 100 followers and around 30 likes I’ve been asked links to Taehyung’s songs, and even if they can use “my pictures” to promote brands… so, it works… but you have to be careful and don’t act like a fangirl.

(btw, I’m keeping this account secret since I want to keep my “only locals” engagements.)

I’ll try to update some example pictures later since right now my connection is too slow and I’d rather stream Scenery that force them to load.

FOR “BEAUTY” PICTURES

And by beauty pictures I mean the usual Taehyung pictures, since he always look beautiful. But these are mostly for those aesthetically good pictures that can go well with the hashtag #photography.

YOUTUBE PLAYLIST

Not many people know that YouTube playlist are a great promoting strategy.

If you already have a channel with many followers, this is perfect for you. If you don’t, there’s still a chance people will find your playlist, it depends on the name.

What do you have to do?

Create a Playlist.

1.       Well, duh, it’s obvious.

2.       Name your playlist after a famous song or genre. Example: BEST BALLADS  of 2019. 

       7 RINGS MIX…

3.       Add very popular songs. Don't fill it with BTS or kpop songs. I put the example of 7 Rings because when I searched it yesterday, one of the first results was a playlist with that name. Add songs that fit the mood of Tae’s song… or not. Add songs that people search a lot/ are very popular and include Tae’s MV in between. When people listen to playlist they keep them on autoplay, so they'll stream his songs and there’s a big chance they’ll end up loving them.

4.       Share your playlist with family and friends. The more followers a playlist has, the more chances to appear in the top results.

I might remember something more later. For now, do what you can. Remember this is for Taehyung. To show him how grateful we are and how much we love him.
